    Need Sanitation Officer For Cruise Ship Mediteranian.

    Duties And Responsibilites

    The sanitation officer is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of all sanitation in the hotel – deck & engine departments and in line with company’s rules and regulations.

    • the sanitation officer is responsible for the cleanliness of all the outlets & food handling locations in compliance with public health rules (HACCP, shipsan, etc) or company policies (SMS/ISM)
    • Responsible for public health and sanitation trainings of all deck, engine, and hotel personel, which includes but it is not limited to hands on training for chemical usage/handling, equipment handling, cleaning techniques, time control plans, filling out logs i.e blast chiller logs, cooling, etc. In conjunction with hotel manager and all concerned HODs and retain all necessary logs.
    • Maintain, monitor and audit all sanitation logs (Galley, restaurant, HK, Bar, provision, chemical, potable water and medical)
    • Must have all outlets ready for any announced or unannounced sanitation inspections, either done by the shipboard senior management or local authorities.
    • monitor the dish wash areas during the peak hours to prevent loss of and breakage and monitor workload of the utility team
    • ensure integrated pest management (IPM) procedures are well followed and mantain any documentation required and ensure on the floor follow up
    • Inspecting periodically all hotel areas with and without ships management for shipsan compliance
    • Ensure that procedures for waste control, garbage management and garbage separation are followed
    • Establish proper cleaning routines and training crew accordingly
    • Ensuring that uniform and personal hygiene guidelines are followed according to company standards
    • Observe loading on the pier of all perishable food items and ensure that are of highest quality and proper temperature / pest control before bringing on board

    Requirement

    • Must have a pleasant and courterous personality. Must be well groomed and presentable
    • Must be physically fit and in good health, without any previous record of any medical problems, drugs and alcoholism
    • Must have relevant academic qualification and certifcation on public health. requres minimum of three (3) years as kitchen steward & sanitation officer related experience on/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (quality hotels or restaurants)
    • Strong public health background is required, managerial and organizational skills and hands-on experience in F&B management with previous ship experience
    • Must able to read, write and fluently speak english
    • Serious professional personality
    • Must be proficient with word, excel, outlook and pwerpoint, and on board computer management systems
    • compliance with STCW training requirements
