The base of our company is at the port of Piraeus, an international maritime center. Our companys fleet serves the needs of sea transportation of bulk cargo ships worldwide.----New Horizon Shipmanagement is also seeking to expand its fleet with modern bulk carriers of Handysize and Handymax/Supramax vessels by managing vessels from ship-owning companies.----New Horizon Shipmanagement is a traditional Greek family shipping company. The history of our family tradition in shipping starts in the early years of the 20th Century when all captains where also the owners of their boat. Our ancestors (grandfathers) were also Captains/Owners of their merchant boats of which they were trading goods within the Mediterranean Sea.----Even though Second World War was a big strike to everyone, our heritage did not end there. Somewhere around the 1960s our ancestors children (fathers) continued our family tradition by becoming also Captains in General Cargo/Bulk Carrier vessels (DWT 5,000 20,000,) and later became owners of Handysize vessels (DWT 20,000 50,000).----So here we are today, where we, as followers (sons) established New Horizon Shipmanagement S.A after completing the mandatory studies in Shipping and finalizing our resume with our working experience on managing Handysize/Handymax/Supramax vessels since the late 1990s.
