CHS CONTAINER Handel GmbH was established in Bremen in 1986. As one of the largest companies in this branch we deal with the purchase and sale of containers, the renting and leasing of containers and room units as well as the production of special containers according to customer specification. Every year about 10,000 mostly used ocean containers, which have been overhauled and equipped according to customers’ wishes, are sold to shipping companies and exporters as well as to forwarding companies and transport firms. Even more significant is the trade of leasing and renting containers to the same circle of customers and to industry as well as to military customers from Germany and from abroad. The containers are put to use as temporary or permanent accommodation, e.g. as office containers, changing rooms and sanitary areas – each one custom-made and equipped for each respective purpose; above all, they are transferable fast and at any time. Additionally, containers have been equipped for exhibition stands and put to use all over the world.----In Bremen, CHS has about 56 employees on the company premises which cover an area of--29,000 m ?. There are also subcontractors who we engage on a regular basis – they all represent highest quality and reliability. CHS is certified by Germanischer Lloyd as a specialist firm and can, therefore, also perform the CSC inspections. CSC stands for the international “Convention for Safe Containers” and only containers with a CSC plate affixed are permitted to be loaded and transported in maritime traffic.
