The core of H Kalkavan Shipping was founded in 1968 by H?seyin Kalkavan, under the name of Kalkavan Construction Corporation, a company that has now been active in construction,contracting and real estate improvement fields for more than 40 years.----Mr.H?seyin Kalkavan decided to embark in shipping, in 1987, and made his first new building of 3400mts dwt dry cargo vessel in Tuzla Shipyard. Henceforth, the company continued its activities in new buildings, purchasing coasters and handy size vessels and also started chartering activities by establishing CM Shipping & BAHAR Shipping.----In 2008, CM Shipping obtained the contract of a shipyard in Samsun and started its construction.----H KALKAVAN Shipping was founded in 2010 as a Ship Management Company and gathered CM Shipping & BAHAR Shipping under its roof. H KALKAVAN Shipping still continues Ship Management, Chartering and Sale&Purchace activities by growing rapidly through diversifaction.
