Knutsen OAS Shipping AS is a fully integrated shipping company. We do shipping operation, newbuilding supervision, chartering and project development in-house. The head quarter is in Haugesund, Norway.----Our objective is to maintain a fleet of high quality- and technically advanced vessels. Every vessel we own and operate is of a high technical standard. Knutsen OAS Shipping has a strong focus on health, safety, security, environment and quality throughout the company’s entire range of activities, which is fundamental in our business.----The company’s strong focus on technology development has resulted in its own proprietary technology for VOC reduction during tanker loading, Knutsen KVOC® Technology, and has developed new technology for ballast water treatment for large tankers. Knutsen has developed its own concepts for Floating Production Storage and Offloading (“FPSO”) vessels and Liquid Natural Gas (“LNG”) vessels, arctic LNG carriers, special vessel for chemicals injection into platform production risers and bunker vessels with dynamic positioning system for offshore supply. Knutsen is world leading as technology developer within marine transportation of compressed natural gas with its proprietary Knutsen PNG® Technology. This technology is in particular interesting for handling offshore loading and transport of natural gas and gas volumes from well testing as flaring is expected to become more difficult to do.----The LNG vessels are partly operated from our offices in Haugesund and Madrid. We operate nine advanced LNG carriers, of which eight are on long-term fixed contracts of 15 years and beyond. The large vessels have long sailing voyages across the Atlantic or the Pacific Ocean. Knutsen also operate the smallest LNG carrier in the world along on the Norwegian coast. This small LNG carrier is providing LNG fuel to many of the ferries on the Norwegian coast in addition to providing LNG to the industry.----The Product and chemical tanker fleet are operated from our Haugesund office. These vessels are on spot or timecharter contracts and trading across the world and along the Norwegian coast.----The shuttle tanker fleet has since 2010 been operated and owned by the Knutsen NYK Offshore Tanker (KNOT).
