Krey Schiffahrts GmbH was founded in 1992 in Simonswolde by graduate shipbuilding engineer Mr. Georg Krey as sole shareholder for the purpose of managing seagoing vessels.----In the beginning, the company managed 3 vessels which were set out for trading in the european coastal waters.----In 1995, the Company moved to Leer, Ostfriesland in order to jointly manage, among another maritime service provider, further 25 units of seagoing vessels.----In 1999, Krey Schiffahrts GmbH ordered 4 geared Multipurpose Vessels with a deadweight capacity of 8.250 mt. The last unit was delivered at the end of 2000. As from this day, the Companies together managed a strong fleet of over 30 vessels.
