M. Pallonji Shipping Private Limited is an extension of the already existing marine activities of the group. The group is actively involved in Bulk Material handling and has a fleet of barges undertaking lighterage operations in Mumbai port----The company was incorporated as a private limited company on 26 October 2005 and commenced business in May 2006 with the acquisition of its first geared panamax vessel MP Panamax 1, and within the next 10 months it acquired two additional geared panamax dry bulkers - MP Panamax 2 & MP Panamax 3.----The company is in the process of replacing older tonnage and have sold MV MP Panamax 2 in the year 2010 and MV MP Panamax 1 in the year 2011----M. Pallonji Shipping Singapore Pte Ltd. is a subsidiary company and vessel MV MP Panamax 4 acquired in 2009 has been flagged in Singapore.--During the year 2010 two more vessels –MV MP Panamax 5 and MV MP Panamax 6 was added to the fleet all under Singapore flag.----Our company has a long term Contract of Affreightment (COA) with a Power Utility company for shipment of coal from Indonesia to Mumbai.----The company is also involved in the shipment of iron ore from India to China. Ships are also chartered in to meet spot requirements.
