The Royal Southern Yacht Club

The Royal Southern is in prime position on the Hamble River, with its base in the heart of Hamble village. Throughout the year we run the Prince Philip Yacht Haven which houses both walk-ashore pontoons and mid-river pontoons, from which berth holders can utilise our 7-days-a-week launch service. The Club has a car park, dinghy park and several dry berths, as well as a crane which dry berth holders and members can use. We also have 3 J/70 sportsboats, 2 RIBs, 2 ‘Jaffa’ dinghies with outboards, several rowboats, 2 club launches, 2 RS Fevas and several Optimist dinghies. The Club runs several racing and training events throughout the year, for which a lot of preparation is required.
