We are hiring Marine Pilot

MARINE PILOT:
KEY DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
-Board the vessel’s bridge and assumes pilotage duties as per the instructions of the VTS tower.
-Responsible for ensuring sufficient water depth for vessels transiting the channels, and that the marine traffic is not restricted due to busy traffic in the channels, weather conditions, or unavailability of berthing space.
-Determine the number of towage boats needed to help in vessel berthing and departure operations.

Education:
-Foreign Going Marine Officer Certificate – Third Class, from a marine Institute that is recognized in the State of Qatar.
-Marine pilot should have on-hand training within the port where he has practiced pilotage in.
-Full knowledge and understanding of the national and international regulations related to the operations guidance.
-Full knowledge of the depth of the canal and the depth of the surrounding water.

Experience:
-Minimum 5 years experience as a Marine Pilot
